I have lived close to the Jurassic Coast all my life and didn’t realise that there is a seem of Jurassic Rock which stretches throughout England. The exposed rock can be seen on four main coastlines, the South, the Bristol Channel, the Wash and the North East.
These areas are categorised into the same geological timeline spanning about 40 million years, a time scale which now seems huge but in geological terms it is pretty close. I wanted to look at geographical and localised similarities and differences within the areas.
